Net Zero/Passive House

Building to either the Net Zero or Passive House Standard helps you achieve a superbly well-insulated home with a tightly sealed building envelope. This is not only good for the environment but provides you with a lifetime of energy savings.

  • Net Zero (NZE or NZEr) homes & buildings use up to 80% less energy than ones built to the Ontario Building Code minimum requirements.
  • Passive House (Passivhaus) homes & buildings use up to 90% less energy than ones built to the Ontario Building Code minimum requirements.

High Performance Products

PowerWool was designed to offer the contractor a greater compression strength to ensure straighter walls while providing exceptional fire-resistance and vapour permeability.

RIGID – Designed to be more compression resistant than the leading competitive product for most similarly recommended applications. Contractors asked us for a more compression resistant product but one which also still has enough ‘give’ to allow siding to lay flat, for example, when rainscreen furring strips are installed overtop of PowerWool in an exterior siding application.
