Rigid Insulation provides thermal protection and can often serve as an air and moisture barrier. It is very effective at resisting heat flow thus saving energy/money. There are two main types of rigid insulation: expanded polystyrene (EPS) and extruded polystyrene (XPS).
SOPRA-XPS rigid thermal insulation board is made of extruded polystyrene and is composed of closed cell foam. It can be used as thermal insulation for residential applications on exterior foundation walls and under concrete slabs.
